With input from members of the Colorado EMS Association and the Redlands, California Fire Department, this certificate course addresses the knowledge and skills first responders need to deal effectively with suicidal people, family members of the deceased by suicide, and to look after the health and safety of their colleagues.

Practice in an ethical fashion and learn to do a few things right, and you will never be sued for suicide malpractice. This engaging, three mini-lecture series (40 minutes, and two 20 minute lectures), interactive course is taught by a psychologist and a lawyer. Four (4) hours of continuing education credit.

Learn what you need to know to prevent suicide among those you know, love, and serve. This registered best practice training program has been peer reviewed by clergy from several faiths.    

This training program addresses suicide prevention among older adults and elders. After presenting expert foundation brief lectures on older adult suicide risk, the QPR Gatekeeper Training for Suicide Prevention is presented, together with best-practice screening questions that those providing care to older adults may use to detect what potentially unknown risk for suicidal behaviors.    

Law enforcement professionals are key gatekeepers in the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention. Learn how to protect your co-workers, friends, family, and community. Several law enforcement professionals provided peer review and input to this training, and video examples of interventions were filmed in several law enforcement organizations.   This course is approved by some stater law enforcement training academies.  Includes basic QPR training.    

This training program is for Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants.  As an NREPP-listed best practice educational program, it meets requirements of emerging state licensing laws. This self-paced training is modularized into many brief learning sections, each of which can be completed in a few minutes from any mobile device. The course targets identification, screening, immediate risk mitigation interventions, and referral of potentially at-risk persons.

"Last medical contact" before suicide is even higher among the elderly, with almost 50% of suicide victims having seen their doctor within the past week. Learn to routinely screen for suicide risk and how to conduct a brief best practice assessment.  Course includes Level 1 QPR gatekeeper training. Learner may spend up to 6 hours in course depending on personal selection. CME must be qualified by a third party.
